March 2nd Devotional

March 2, 2016

In the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God. . . The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:1, 14

Who is the most significant person in your life? If you were to ask a little child, the answer would be either Mommy or Daddy. An athlete may say his coach or manager. An hourly worker would come up with a response of either his supervisor or manager. As Christians, what would be our reply? I am not saying it to criticize you, but your feedback should be Jesus Christ. In the next few writings, I would like us to take a look at the one individual who has meant so much to not only us but many throughout the ages.

Throughout the Bible, we read and see He was “fully human and fully God.” One thought behind the writing of John’s Gospel was that this writer wrote his words for we could establish “faith and confidence in Jesus Christ so that we may believe that He truly was and is the Son of God.”

I have always liked hearing as well as being aware Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Without His direction, we would simply fall into sin by walking blindly. There is no need to trip or stumble because He shows the way with a light or even better “the best way to live.” Fear not, you will never enter darkness with His presence surrounding you.

“Jesus is a member of the Trinity. The Spirit descended like a dove on Jesus, and the voice from heaven proclaimed the Father’s approval of Jesus as His divine Son” meaning “Jesus is God’s divine Son.” This makes up the Trinity thus God is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Father, in the days ahead, guide us to a better understanding of Jesus Christ knowing He truly is the Lord of our life. Amen.
